Vanlife may no longer be our full-time lifestyle, but the lessons it gave us continue to shape who we are and the work we do today.

After our adventures on the road, we found ourselves carrying forward something deeper than miles traveled or places visited. Our experiences living simply, building community in unfamiliar spaces, and learning to listen to the stories of people we met along the way continue to guide how we show up in our personal and professional lives.

​

Today, Madi serves as a Coordinator in Higher Ed., where she supports students in building meaningful academic and leadership journeys rooted in purpose and belonging. Adam has integrated what he learned from vanlife into practitioner and research-based work focused on leadership, community engagement, and social impact. Through Impact & Leadership Consulting Group (ILCG), he partners with individuals and organizations to connect their mission, vision, and values with community-centered strategies that create lasting impact.

Even though life looks different now, the spirit of vanlife is still part of us. We still dream about the road and continue to explore what part-time vanlife might look like alongside the lives and communities we’re building today.

We've made this site for our family, friends, and those curious about vanlife. Please follow along on our journey and adventures while living out of our 2019 Ford Transit van. For us, vanlife has combined so many of our passions and hobbies. We were inspired to join the vanlife community to maximize on our desires to travel, minimize, live simply, be more sustainable, save money, and become more connected to nature. We are excited to share our unique experiences and lessons learned with others and to connect to people who are out there challenging the status quo and living differently.
